JOB SUMMARY:
Overall responsibility for managing contracts, contract-related documentation and payor relationships for pharmacy Network participants. Additional responsibilities include regular contact with PDP contracting staff to address and resolve contract and operational issues on behalf of network members. Develop clear internal/external communication channels to distribute information and solicit feedback. Create and update various metrics to analyze contract information. Act as liaison between member pharmacies and PBM universe.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Plan, coordinate and manage all Network related contracts and contract-related activities, including documentation, communications and monitoring.
•Work closely with the Assistant Director, Innovatix Network, to create procedures, systems and metrics for all aspects of the contracting function.
•Assist pharmacy Network members with on-site and desk top audits from external parties.
•Develop relationships with contracted pharmacies and PBM’s to obtain and update information on file, ensuring member connectivity to contracts and managing welcome package distribution to new members.
•Independently manage member pharmacy issues with PBM’s to complete resolution.
•Work with the Assistant Director, Innovatix Network to determine best practice solutions for efficient management of the contracts and related contract documentation.
•Work closely with Innovatix Network team on overall program development, implementation and management.
REQUIREMENTS:
•High degree of comprehension for Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM)and Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) contracting in the areas of LTC, Home Infusion/Specialty and Retail pharmacy services.
•Clear understanding of the Medicare Part D program.
•Clear understanding of contract management practices and the linkages between contracts and appropriate payment for services specified in the contract
•Knowledge of PBM and HMO operations is desirable
•Knowledge of pharmacy billing operation is desirable
•Strong organization, time management and prioritization skills in handling multiple tasks (Planning & Project Management)
•Have high integrity and credibility to respect confidentiality
•Extreme attention to detail; demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
•Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
•Must be a team player as well as be able to work independently.
•Must be able to design and implement creative solutions as issues and problems arise
•Be able to stand pressure, high workload and fast pace of work rhythm.
•Effective interpersonal skills (interpersonal effectiveness)
•Strong PC skills; including MS Office; especially MS Excel for reporting functions.
•Strong verbal, written and analytical skills.
•Ability to travel as needed
